Christopher Selleck ’16, MFA, is currently presenting an exhibition investigating the masculine body at the Minneapolis Institute of Art.

Body//Weight explores the male body image and the ideal depiction of the figure. A project seven years in the making, the exhibition features self-portraits, video, sculpture, and portrait photography.

Selleck collaborated with each model in order to present a vulnerable version of themselves. "I don’t filter according to age, race, or sexuality; I am looking for how they choose to present themselves to me in the studio environment," Selleck has stated. "I get less a meditation on ‘toxic masculinity’ than individuals projecting their gendered identity with a degree of vulnerability."
