Steve Lenius, MA ’21, recently designed, produced and published Stewart Luckman Sculpture: Flipping, Turning, Pushing, a major new retrospective catalogue of artworks created by sculptor Stewart Luckman. The catalogue was produced in conjunction with an exhibition of Luckman’s sculpture at the San Juan Islands Museum of Art in Friday Harbor, Washington.

A prominent member of Minnesota’s art scene for many years, Luckman holds several degrees; BA, Bethel University, BFA, Macalester College, and and MFA, University of Minnesota. He taught sculpture at the University of Minnesota and Macalester College and served as Professor of Art and as the Head of the Sculpture and Art Education Programs at Bethel University, retiring in 1998. During his career, which stretched from 1973 to 2020, Luckman worked in wood, metal, and stone.
