Szyhalski's Labor Camp War Reports on Display in Minneapolis

MCAD faculty Piotr Szyhalski is displaying his series of Labor Camp War Reports at the Northeast Sculpture Gallery Factory in Minneapolis.

The Labor Camp War Reports are an ongoing extension of the Labor Camp Report series of posters made to record and document the COVID-19 pandemic. Done in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the War Reports works to witness and record this "extreme historical phenomenon", as what Szyhalski had done with COVID-19. While the War Reports are tied into and address specific conflicts in Ukraine, the series still operates universal themes about war and the plight of civilians.
