Professor Emeritus Roman Verostko's code-generated pen and ink drawings have been featured in a local Pennsylvania write-up.

The article goes into a mural featured at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, which is fashioned from 11 of Verostko's early 1970s pen and ink works. The drawings are meant to appeal to kids and the childlike spirit in adults.

"They're supposed to be whimsical," says Andrew Julo, the director and curator of the Verostko Center at the college. "It's really centered around the idea of play."

Verostko, a former Minneapolis College of Art and Design professor, has had his work displayed in galleries all across the world. His pioneering style of art heavily involves the use of computer coded algorithms, and has won him awards such as the Distinguished Artist Award for Lifetime Achievement from ACM SIGGRAPH in 2009.
