If you follow any of our program’s social media, you’ve almost certainly heard of biomimicry, as it is an integral part of what our students learn. It’s inspiring to read about, and even more inspiring to practice! If you’re curious about biomimicry and would like to give it a go, you’re in luck! We’re offering our fully online short course Introduction to Biomimicry: A Sustainable Design Methodology this summer! This course is a wonderful and easy (and very inexpensive!) way to learn how to create innovative and sustainable design solutions inspired by nature. It’s fully online, but it will send you outside each week to observe, notice, and journal in nature, then apply what you see in -- perhaps in your own backyard -- to develop your own creative design ideas. It’s also a nice way to get a sense of what online learning is like. This course starts very soon -- June 7 -- so please register asap! If you want to learn even more, we’re offering our graduate level Biomimetic Design course in the fall. This is a rigorous 15-week course that takes you through the Biomimicry Design Spiral. You can take the course for no-credit (which is less expensive) or take it for-credit, which you can apply to our MA in Sustainable Design program. If you’re curious about biomimicry, sustainable design, or our fully online MA in Sustainable Design program, feel free to contact me! Categories Biomimicry Uncategorized Published on May 31, 2021
