As Director of MCAD's MA in Sustainable Design program and ISSP's Board President, I hear a lot of people voicing their grief over the state of the world. Who doesn't get depressed when the news is full of stories about all-time record heat waves, 1000-year floods, ongoing and increasing pandemic deaths? Not only that, songbirds are dying, and the ocean is in flames. These people have shared many unique ways of coping with this grief, but the common thread -- and best antidote -- is knowing that they are doing something about it. They have devoted their careers to making the world more sustainable, and they are engaged with communities of people who have done the same. What about you? Would you like to have a bigger impact than recycling, buying local, and driving less? Would you like to educate, empower, and equip yourself to develop innovative and impactful solutions to our sustainability challenges? Would you like to turn your grief into "good grief"? If you are passionate about sustainability, understand the power of design, and want to affect change, MCAD's fully online Master of Arts in Sustainable Design might be a good fit for you.
