Acrylic Painting in Style: Joy of Color for ages 9-12 (in person)

In this beginner-friendly acrylic painting class for young artists, color takes center stage.

After studying artists and art movements inspired by color theory, students become color explorers through mixing, blending, and layering colors. This class introduces painting techniques such as applying washes, dabbing, and stippling with brushes and other useful painter’s tools. Study the artwork of painters Giorgio Morandi, Frida Kahlo, and Amy Sherald, and create still lifes, self-portraits, and more. Come ready to paint and explore in color! / Materials fee of $23 included in course tuition.
