Pre-College Workshop: Comic Art (in person)

Explore the foundations of comic art creation and storytelling while learning technical skills and developing a personal creative voice.

This course is designed for students interested in illustration, storytelling through sequential art, and graphic novels. With a strong focus on multi-page comic storytelling, develop drawing skills and visual vocabulary within the context of panel layout, figure drawing for characters, and comic inking techniques. Learn rudimentary comic book publishing techniques and leave the class with a finished-multi page mini-comic featuring a short story of their own creation. / This class includes a 30 minute lunch break.

Open to students ages 15–18. MCAD strictly adheres to these age guidelines and is unable to allow exceptions. Please review our complete Teen Policies as well as our General Policies before completing your registration.
