At the beginning of every academic year the MFA program welcomes old and new students and faculty into our MFA community. Hosted by our MFA director Ellen Mueller, this year the party was held on the MFA lawns on a warm summer evening. Speaking about the event, Mueller said, "The Welcome Back Party was a great success! It was fun to help our incoming grads meet various faculty members, potential mentors, alumni, and second year students." Here students, faculty and alumni connected with each other over food, beverages and casual tête-à-tête. When asked about her evening, incoming student Jocelyn MacDonald said, "The informal setting was a great way to meet our colleagues and faculty of the MFA program. I met some old and new students and had some good conversations about our practices." After a summer of adventures, this party prepares us to dive back into the school year.
