3D Workshop

This October, MFA students were treated to a workshop detailing the many machines and tools that MCAD's 8,000 square foot 3D shop has to offer. The shop contains a wood shop, welding shop, foundry, plaster room, spray booths, and rapid prototyping equipment, to name a few. Led by second years Jesse Lentz and Samantha Russell, the workshop covered digital techniques, including laser cutting, cnc routing, and rapid prototyping, or 3D printing, of both plastic and plaster. Our students have access to the whole lot.
