This November, MCAD MFA painting alum Kayla Plosz '12 participated in a group show at the Soo Visual Arts Center here in Minneapolis. The show, entitled Hot Chroma, featured works from Plosz along with Jordan Clark, Matt Reimers and Jeremy Szopinski. From Soo Vac, the exhibition "explores the physicality of committing predominantly oil paint to surfaces." Currently living and working in Fairfax Virginia, Plosz has shown works across the region and up and down the eastern seaboard. Galleries include Hillyer Art Space, Burnet Gallery, and the Torpedo Factory, to name a few. Hot Chroma runs until December 30, 2016. If you are in town, check it out!
