Alumni Highlight / Preston Drum '16 at Casket Arts Building

From Friday, November 2 to Sunday, November 4, alum Preston Drum '16 presented "Long Scene", an interactive art installation inspired by public access television. The installation which was under the network, PDS Public Television and in association with the Casket Arts Building, featured "live performances by guest artists and opportunities for the public to collaborate in the production of "TV" shows."

The 3-day event was part of Casket Arts' annual Open Casket Studio Art Show and included artists Liza Dorsey '16, Drew Hance, Essma Imady '16, Joshua McGarvey, Dustin Steuck, Aki Shibata, and Peng Wu '13. Programming included a cooking show entitled "Cooking With Memories" with Aki Shibata, a“Live D & D” game with Sam Albers & Co., and a “Sleep Talk Show” with Peng Wu '13.

"Preston Drum is a fiscal year 2018 recipient of an Artist Initiative grant from the MN State Arts Board. This activity (was) made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from MN State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund."
