The MCAD Masters program is pleased to announce its first ever Master's Trip to NYC! The trip will take place from Thursday, October 3, 2019 to Sunday, October 6, 2019, at locations throughout New York City. MA and MFA students and alumni are invited to attend the group trip which will comprise visits to art and design venues, agencies, and studios—including the studios and offices of several MCAD alumni. Participating Alumni include: Zander Brimijoin ’04, MFA, at Red Paper Heart Interactive Studio Josh Foss, MA Faculty, at Urban Tech Hub in Manhattan Justin Israels ’02, at Pace Editions Lisa Martin ’89 Levi Murphy ’11, MFA; Rob Nelson ’01; Marshall LaCount ’01; at Communal Objects Mark Nelson ’91, at McCall Associates Mike Perry ’03 Norah Stone ’14, at Paperless Post and more! Participants are in charge of arranging their own travel and accommodations however they can save money by making plans well in advance, utilizing college student discounts available through organizations such as Student Universe, and by considering hostels, shared hotel rooms, or staying with friends. Staying in Brooklyn, Queens or Jersey City (near the subway system) will allow inexpensive navigation throughout the city using a seven-day transit pass.
