Cong Hu / 2016 Thesis Candidate

As a graphic designer, Cong Hu works through multimedia to explore the threshold and transform it within different forms. Art is a language that gives her the supplement to fill up vacancies in the design world. She never gets tired of enriching her skills and expanding her design vocabulary.

Currently, she is exploring time. In her work, time is implication, surrealism is metaphor, and she uses design as a form to give invisible time a tangible figure. 3D software helps her create work in the manner of Surrealism. She uses the regulated clock to create irregular movement to visualize disordered trajectories with ordered rules.

Be sure to join us on Friday, May 13th at our new MFA Graduate Studios to enjoy Cong's thesis work along with the other 2016 graduates.
