On February 28, MFA alums Essma Imady '16 & Alex Mitchell '16 celebrated the completion of the first part of their graphic novel, City of Jasmine at Daybreak Press. From the artists, "City of Jasmine, is a reimagined gender bent Gilgamesh set in modern-day Damascus, Syria." During the talk, attendees had the chance to meet the artists, hear about their collaboration and learn more about "the process behind retelling the oldest story in the world."
