This month, Minneapolis' iconic Soap Factory space hosted their 2016 submissions show, entitled Working Forces. It a group exhibition featuring the work of 13 artists from across North America, including MCAD MFA alum Jack Pavlik. The entire exhibit was curated by Jehra Patrick, an MCAD MFA mentor. From the organizers: "Conceived for the Soap Factory, in Minneapolis’s post-industrial zone and home to Midwestern work ethic, the exhibition considers ‘art as a place for work,’ the workplace, and art’s role in the making – and unmaking – of economic status, class, labor, gender, race, and social dynamics."
