Katie Lupton is a cross-disciplinary designer. Her work aims to investigate relationships between design constraints and parameters within play and fun. The tactile nature of her work is heavily influenced by an interest in play and participation and how both can be incorporated into design solutions. The work Katie produces reflects the traditions and motifs of her Norwegian heritage, championing effortlessness and functionality and emphasizing the use of organic and geometric shapes while still employing playful characteristics. Most recently, she has been interested in experiential graphic design and alternative display installations. Be sure to join us on Friday, May 13th at our new MFA Graduate Studios to enjoy Katie's thesis work along with the other 2016 graduates.
