Kayla Campbell's work is directly influenced by the nature of campy kitsch, pop culture, and the never-ending search for some waterfront property in the uncanny valley. It’s something with which she has been fascinated before she knew what it was, or that the concept had a name. She is interested in how these campy, kitschy, pop phenomena correspond to her directly, and what role they play within society due to our overexposure to them. Be sure to join us on Friday, May 13th at our new MFA Graduate Studios to enjoy Kayla's thesis work along with the other 2016 graduates.
