MANY WATERS: A MINNESOTA BIENNIAL was held at the Minnesota Museum of American Art in St. Paul from July 24th to October 2nd. The exhibition drew on the connection between artists and culture bearers from across Minnesota. It showcased how the different artists and their cultural backgrounds could and does engage with water. This exhibition was informed by not only the environmental impact humans have on bodies of water but also the relationship we all have with water. The location of the Minnesota Museum of American Art in St. Paul is close to a main Minnesota waterway, which is the Mississippi river. The Mississippi river has been and still is today a very important river in Minnesota. And this exhibition drew on that connection to this mighty waterway and the people who live in close proximity to it. This exhibition included five MCAD MFA alumni; Kelsey Bosch ‘16, Andrea Carlson ‘05, Gregory Euclide ‘08, Monica Moses Haller ‘05, & Megan Vossler ‘02.
