We are so excited to present to you our MCAD MFA Fall Exhibition that opens on 6 September in the MCAD MFA gallery! The theme for this year's show is Break Every Rule where the organising committee of students have chosen to lean on an "irreverent, convivial cliché, lovingly lifted from pop lyrics" as their inspiration. This year the show is chaired by Patrick Sexton'20 and Lee Noble'20. This time, the show will incorporate an additional event called No Algorithm Night on September 14 at 7:00 p.m. Here, presenters will screen their favourite videos from the far reaches of the internet and everything is welcome: music videos, short films, cultural critique, ASMR, foil polishing, play throughs, how–to's, cats, lost movie trailers, and other YouTube esoterica, anything. According to Lee and Patrick Break Every Rule is a small but unapologetic celebration of rioters, dissenters, and renegades everywhere! The MFA Fall Show is exciting for us because it is entirely student-run and launches us into the new school year. Second-year students display their summer explorations while the incoming MFA students introduce their work to MCAD and the greater Minneapolis community for the very first time! So do join us in welcoming this brand new year and students into our community. See you there! The event is free and open to all. Categories All Events Fall Exhibition
