On March 3, illustration-focused local gallery and MCAD neighbor Light Grey Art Lab hosted a 5th Anniversary Grand Re-Opening. MCAD MFA candidates Sishir Bommakanti '18 and Alanna Stapleton '18; MFA illustration alum Niky Motekallem '16; and MFA mentors Zach Keenen, Allegra Lockstadt, and James O'Brien all exhibited work as part of a local artist feature in the Main Gallery. In celebration of their five year anniversary, Light Grey Art Lab is "increasing the scope and frequency of their exhibitions, expanding the collaborative and educational opportunities offered, and growing their physical space in a big way. In addition to the Main and Adjunct gallery spaces which comprise Light Grey Art Lab’s original 1,000 square foot space, the gallery opened an additional 2,000 square feet, which is divided into the Salon, Satellite Gallery, Page Gallery, a dedicated workshop space, and a newly expanded shop." To kick off this massive expansion, Light Grey Art Lab launched five new exhibitions, one in each exhibition space. Congrats to Light Grey Art Lab on their anniversary and expansion!
