Check out our interview with current mentor Dana Koehler who is also a 2017 alum! Thanks for being a part of the MFA program! Can you tell us a little bit about your creative practice? I am a designer and illustrator with a focus on children and families. All of my work is guided by a sense of storytelling and play. I love to use visual metaphor to engage and convey common values and conditions in the human experience. In all of my work, personal and professional, you will find lively and colorful graphic expressions at play. What do you enjoy most about being a mentor? I am a teacher and a mentor, and consider both to be a great honor. There's nothing sweeter than working hard and celebrating student success!
