Last Saturday, September 21, the Twin Cities Zine Fest was held at the Hennepin County Central Library in Downtown Minneapolis. This year the festival saw a strong presence of MCAD MFA students who were selected through an application process. They included Harry Gao, Roshan Ganu, Camilo Aguirre, Joi Yao, Rachel Bonebright (alum) and Kristin Tipping (alum). Roshan also conducted a four panels comic workshop that guided participants to make their own accordion fold comic about a funny or sad experience from their recent past. Many other MFA students participated alongside these zinesters, as they shared their work with the wider twin cities audience. TCZF has been going strong in the Twin Cities for almost 15 years now. This is an annual event that celebrates zines and self publishing from in and around the Twin Cities.
