Before we get too far into fall, the MFA program wanted to highlight one last summer internship! Second-year graphic design student, Patience Lekien, spent time at Priceline.com in both Norwalk, Connecticut and New York City. From Patience himself: The graphic design internship at Priceline.com was a great experience in experiencing the duality of commercial design from a corporate view. The internship experience focused primarily within the in-house design and branding team at Priceline, where there was constant collaboration between creatives, as well as other brand team members (social media, PR communications, and overall marketing). The in-house team worked closely with numerous design agencies for out-source work. Some of the most enjoyable aspects of the internship was working alongside other interns from various different departments, as well as getting to constantly meet and converse with various designers with different specialties. Of course, there were the extra-fun moments such as the yacht cruise around New York City, bowling nights, BYOB painting sessions, and more. It was a very fulfilling experience if commercial design or creative direction is an interest. Check out Patience's personal work Categories All
