Peng Wu / Conversation on Performance and Public Art

This May, alum Peng Wu '13 was invited to participate in a Conversation on Performance and Public Art as part of the Target Studio Collaboration Culmination and Performance. The conversation was moderated by Jen Krava, the Director of Programming and New Initiatives of Forecast Public Art, and Boris Oicherman, the Curator for Creative Collaboration in the Target Studio at the Weisman Art Museum.

From the Weisman Art Museum, "In contemporary art, “performance” stands for an extremely broad range of creative practices that use live-action as the basis of work." Artists Nooshin Hakim, Pedram Baldari, Monica Sheets, Pramila Vasudevan, and Peng Wu discussed the "ways in which their diverse performance-based work activates public spaces, and the challenges and opportunities the public sphere imposes on ephemeral art practices."
