We had the extraordinary opportunity to spend time with Isao Miyazawa who is a world renowned environmental and information designer and researcher. At Whittier on Wednesday September 10, Isao Miyazawa met in a roundtable seminar with 15 MFA students where he lectured on his development and evolution as a designer and discussed his work and research on street and public plaza design as well as his project such as the research and signage for the Toyama City Rail System and the Kuala Lumpur national airport. Isao Miyazawa's visit was made possible through the generosity of Professor Emeritus and public artist Kinji Akagawa who was hosting his visit and had arranged for him to visit the graduate program.
