Statewide Pivot: A Day with Timothy Goodman

On September 6th, ​MCAD​ graphic design and illustration ​students participated in the Statewide Pivot: A Day with Timothy Goodman at the University of Minnesota​,​ School of Design. It was an excellent learning experience​; participants​ ​had the opportunity to work with Timothy on a workshop project, where he ​also discussed his work and career path. ​

 

ABOUT TIMOTHY GOODMAN

"Timothy Goodman is a designer, illustrator and an art director based in NYC. Currently he runs his own studio, working for clients such as Airbnb, Google, J.Crew, Nike, The New Yorker, and The New York Times. Previously, Timothy worked in-house at Apple Inc. where he helped integrate Apple’s visual language across third party environments, retail stores, and campaign launches. Prior to that, he worked for the experiential design firm Collins. He has received awards from most major design & illustration publications including the ADC Young Guns, GDUSA’s “People To Watch” and Print magazine’s “New Visual Artist.” Timothy graduated from the School of Visual Arts, where he now teaches. In 2013, Timothy and Jessica Walsh created a personal project called 40 Days of Dating. Recently, they optioned the film rights of their story to Warner Bros. and they wrote a book about their experience for Abrams that comes out in January."
