Oil painter and second-year MFA student Leslie Barlow, participcated in "The Great Minnesota Get-Together" in more ways than one this year. She was chosen to participate in Studio: HERE where she worked on a painting titled Two Grandmas and also won 3rd place for her painting Restricted, Emergence, Spurious, Drift in the Oil/Acrylic/Mixed Media category in the separate Juried Exhibition in the Fine Arts Building. The Studio:HERE program provides a window for fair guests into the practice of art-making. Throughout the 12-hour residency the artist turns part of the Fine Arts Center into their personal art studio. Twelve selected artists, one for each day of the fair, invite you to share in this rare glimpse of their studio practice and creative process. The curator for the program was C.J. Renner, Assistant Superintendent of Fine Arts MNSF. For more of Leslie Barlow's work MN State Fair Fine Arts Categories All
