The MCAD MFA program has a long tradition of visiting artists, both as classroom lecturers, studio visitors, and participants in formal critiques. Thanks to a new technology set-up in the MFA classroom, it is now possible for students to connect with artists virtually from around the world. London-based MFA alum Luisa Rivera '15 joined us via video chat from her home studio in the UK. A group of current MFA students gathered together in the MFA classroom to participate in a video lecture and Q&A. Rivera shared about her practice and work as an artist and illustrator, including her inspiration, tips for finding clients, how best to promote yourself, the process of working on a dream project, and much more. Thanks for joining us all the way from London, Luisa! Photos by Yi Wan. Artwork images courtesy of the artist, Luisa Rivera.
