BIDDING STRATEGY

HOW TO BID

To bid and participate online, start by creating an account through our mobile bidding platform. After signing up, enter your mobile number, and you will receive a text message allowing you to bid through your mobile device. You can either place the minimum bid amount required or set a maximum bid. Once your bid has been placed, you will immediately be notified if you are the winning bidder or if another guest’s bid has outbid you.

BIDDING STRATEGY

You may bid the traditional way by increasing the bid by the minimum raise or setting a maximum bid. When you place a maximum bid, the system bids for you against other bidders until your maximum bid is reached. Once your maximum bid has been exceeded, you are no longer bidding on that item until you place a new bid. This is ideal for guests who would like to place a single bid on an item and not worry about checking back to see if they are still winning.

POST-EVENT & WINNING BIDS

Any winning bids will be available for check-out on your devices or in person at the south entrance checkout station.

If you purchase an item in our Live Auction, we will contact you to arrange for complimentary home delivery later with an MCAD representative.

For winning Silent Auction bids, an MCAD representative will contact you on Monday, May 20, to make arrangements for your preference of MCAD pick-up or $50 local delivery. If you would like to make alternative arrangements, we ask that you consult with an MCAD representative at checkout.

YOUR IMPACT

While MCAD students share a passion for creativity, they come to us from all walks of life. With more than 97% of our students receiving some form of financial aid, scholarships are critical in ensuring that our students feel supported as they pursue their dreams.

The Auction at MCAD has raised close to $2 million for MCAD scholarships over the last decade. That’s over 600 students who have seen their ambitions realized through an accessible MCAD education. Proceeds benefit Minneapolis College of Art and Design student scholarships.
