He has given talks and screened films at festivals and venues including the Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis, Walker Art Center, the Politics & Poetics Documentary Symposium, Aurora Picture show, MSPIFF, and the Phillips Museum of Art. He was a Flaherty Film Seminar Fellow and was part of the inaugural class of Jerome Hill Artist Fellows, as a collective with filmmaker Laska Jimsen. His work has also been supported through the Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant and the Jerome Foundation Minnesota Film & Video Grant. His essay "Crime Scenes in Suburbia" appears in Senses of Cinema and in the Egyptian film journal Kurrasat Al Cimatheque.
