I started with a general character animation reel. I mainly showcased my shorts GOOP and HANDS because they are my most completed work and I feel like the best examples of who I am as an artist so far. I also submitted a variety of character designs and process images to show a variety of styles. Why did you decide to come to MCAD? I came to MCAD because it was local and they provided a strong financial aid package. They also had a really strong animation program, which I had been interested in for a while. What are your plans for your senior year? And beyond? My main focus is going to be on my senior project and more visual experimentation. I spent most of this semester refining my storytelling abilities, and now I would like to combine it with a distinct visual style. Favorite thing about college life (so far)? Not living with my parents anymore. What's the best thing you've got from MCAD's free shelf? A Han Solo ice cube tray. What inspires you? I get a lot of inspiration from other animated works, but I also draw from personal experiences. I've been trying to turn those personal experiences into something everyone understands.
