January 19, 2023 Image Nancy Rice’s Intro to Advertising class spent the last semester working alongside Red Wing Shoes. Their charge was to develop retail pop-up experiences and promotions for the Red Wing Heritage brand, which could be easily scalable across the United States. Broken into five groups, students developed a "client" pitch deck outlining their ideas for a unique pop-up experience. Students John Bitner, Annalise Corcoran, Joseph Zebede, and Zachary Wegscheid created the winning concept called The Boot Lounge, which elevated the experience of getting fitted for boots. Customers enter the well-designed lounge to browse the Red Wing Heritage collection, get fitted for their perfect shoe, enjoy refreshments, and partake in live events, such as music.
