Paige Hender ’20 debuts their first graphic novel The Confessional with indie comic publisher Silver Sprocket. What began as an MCAD senior project has evolved into a fully realized and completed horror graphic novel.

Set in 1920s New Orleans, the story follows a newly turned vampire girl living in a speakeasy with her sister and adjusting to her new monstrous nature. She seeks solace in a local charming priest, who comes to know her supernatural secret. The Confessional is currently up for pre-order and slated to release March 13, 2025.
