June 19, 2024 Image Jodi Reeb ’95 warmly invited art enthusiasts to the recent Art-A-Whirl at Carriage House Studios, held over the weekend of May 17-19. Among the featured artists was Patrick Miller, alongside Reeb's latest masterpiece, New Beginnings. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in the Make and Take session, crafting encaustic mini paintings under expert guidance. With over 150 artists' studios open for exploration, the event promised an immersive experience. During the event weekend, art aficionados explored a diverse range of artistic expressions, including ceramic decor, Risograph printing, and the abstract paintings of Ute Bertog ’05. As attendees roamed through Northeast’s studios, they enjoyed live music at nearby venues like Liquid Zoo at Bauhaus Brew Lab or Whirlygig at Indeed Brewing Company. For those unable to attend Art-A-Whirl, Reeb offers various encaustic painting workshops throughout the year, including international ones scheduled for 2025 in Switzerland, Mexico, and Egypt.
