Image Student ’23 Degree Bachelor of Fine Arts Areas of Study Comic Art Location Greensboro, North Carolina Describe the work you submitted for merits. The pieces I submitted were all work for foundation classes and feature a lot of mediums I was not very familiar with before I came to MCAD—including charcoal, wood, and papercutting. What's next for your practice? Anything you're really excited to make? I've become really interested in illustration and comics, so I plan to continue making work in those areas! Why did you decide to come to MCAD? The facilities at MCAD are impressive and open up a lot of opportunities for different types of creating. Favorite thing about college life (so far)? Hanging out with my friends in the main building after classes! Anything you're obsessed with at the moment? I'm just as obsessed with Animal Crossing as everyone else is right now. Now that school is out, I can finally get serious about decorating my island! It's called Clowntown, and I plan to have a giant carnival section with games of my own invention so my friends can come over and play them. Do you have a favorite piece you've made? Describe it! Right now, I really like my final comic for Introduction to Comics! It's about a lesbian couple who lose their pet hamster in their apartment. Ideal order at the Bistro? Pot roast and mac and cheese.
