Drawing and Painting: Colorful Landscapes for ages 6-9 (in person)

While learning a variety of drawing and painting skills, create colorful landscapes of mountains, lakes, forests, or a favorite vacation spot.

Gain inspiration from artists like Ted Harrison, Vincent van Gogh, and Claude Monet. Explore landscape painting styles from Abstract to Impressionism. Learn how to layer and blend colors and add texture with colored pencils and oil pastels. Experiment with watercolor resist painting with pastels, painting with brushes, sponges, and more. Students imbue their landscapes with mixed-media surprises, such as torn-paper collage features and other non-traditional art-making techniques. / Materials fee of $5 included in course tuition.

Open to students ages 6–9. MCAD strictly adheres to these age guidelines and is unable to allow exceptions. Please review our complete Youth Policies as well as our General Policies before completing your registration.
