Introduction to Video Color Grading (in person)

Learn the essential tools, techniques, and principles used by industry professionals to enhance the visual impact of your films and videos. Color grading is all about tweaking film and video to create consistent color tones throughout the final product. Ages 16+

Go beyond the technical 'how' and explore the intriguing 'why' behind color grading. This class unlocks the power of color to provide focus, clarity, and emotional depth to your work. This class is geared towards video editors, content creators, and hobbyists. / Students will have access to Adobe Creative Cloud software throughout the course. / No class on October 5.

Open to students ages 16 and above. Review complete policies, including class cancellation policies, before completing your registration.

Prerequisites

Previous intermediate-level experience with Adobe Premiere Pro is required. Example skills include managing media assets, importing files, creating sequences, understanding editing tools and principles, applying effects, understanding the Effect Control panel, and export renders.

Required materials

Supplies for first class
USB drive or cloud storage option for saving work.

Software
Adobe Creative Cloud (provided by MCAD).

Hardware
Students will have access to Adobe Creative Cloud software. If students want to use this software at home, they will need a computer capable of running Adobe software.
