Adjunct faculty Abbi Allan's work is featured in a show at Gallery 801 through January. 

She is involved in the organization of Books for Africa, a collaborative exhibit between the Science Museum of Minnesota and MCAD, which opened December 10.

Jody Williams traveled to Ireland this summer to attend the annual meeting of the Miniature Book Society, thanks in part to a Faculty Development Grant. Williams exhibited her work at the conference book fair and connected with other book artists from Europe who were also exhibiting.

Diana Green recently submitted four entries for the forthcoming Graphic Novel Encyclopedia by ABC-CLIO Press. Green also submitted four entries for the book Icons of American Comics.

Chapbooks, broadsides, and visual projects by students in Lightsey Darst’s fall semester 2011 courses Introduction to Poetry and Creative Writing were exhibited in the MCAD Library’s long case. Works include poems in jars, fictional diaries, poems from karaoke subtitles, photo albums, and mix-and-match-strips—they are sure to delight!

Adjunct faculty Zak Sally just released Sammy the Mouse: Volume 1, from La Mano books. The 104 page collection of the first 3 issues of Zak Sally's Sammy the Mouse comic was printed by Sally on his own offset press.

Visiting artist Jim Keefe was featured on MPR News's blog in a spotlight on MCAD. Keefe’s work on the Flash Gordon newspaper strip is part of a traveling exhibition, titled One Fine Sunday in the Funny Pages. The exhibition is curated by Stay Tooned publisher John Read.
